We have used the PERLXpress to produce more than 500 different recombinant protein preparations, demonstrating the broad functional capability of our system.  This experience has allowed us to generate a comprehensive dataset of process metrics for the characterization of the expression platform which we use to plan and implement controlled change.

The insect-based PERLXpress system offers significant advantages over cell-based production systems.  In addition to its linear scalability, in some cases we have been able to recover usable quantities of functional protein where culture systems had failed.  We have completed more than 50 projects, taking proteins either to partial purification or to homogeneity.
